DUSU Launches WhatsApp Helpline For Campus Safety

The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) has launched a WhatsApp helpline for students to report unsafe or poorly lit areas on campus. Students can share geo-tagged photographs of such spots via WhatsApp to the number 8448157333. DUSU president Yash Dabas stated that the union will then approach the relevant authorities to address these concerns. This initiative follows recent student protests regarding women's safety, sparked by an alleged gang rape and other incidents of stalking and harassment near university areas.
