Telangana CM to Seek Maharashtra's Nod for Tummidihatti Barrage at 152 Metres

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will meet his Maharashtra counterpart Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai to seek approval for constructing the Tummidihatti barrage at a height of 152 metres. This project aims to address irrigation and drinking water needs in northern Telangana by diverting more water from the Pranahita river. The proposed height increase from 148 metres is expected to significantly improve irrigation facilities for approximately two lakh acres.

तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए रेवंत रेड्डी मुंबई में महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस से मिलेंगे और तुमिडीहट्टी बैराज को 152 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर बनाने की मंजूरी मांगेंगे। इस प्रोजेक्ट का मकसद प्राणहिता नदी से ज़्यादा पानी मोड़कर उत्तरी तेलंगाना की सिंचाई और पीने के पानी की ज़रूरतों को पूरा करना है। 148 मीटर से प्रस्तावित ऊंचाई बढ़ाने से करीब दो लाख एकड़ के लिए सिंचाई सुविधाओं में काफी सुधार होने की उम्मीद है।
