Nani: Today's Films Lack Emotional Intensity

Hindustan Times · entertainment

Telugu star Nani believes contemporary Indian films are missing the emotional intensity found in 80s and 90s cinema. He cited Shah Rukh Khan's 1993 hit Baazigar as an example of a film with deep, intense emotions. Nani feels current commercial movies prioritize songs and action over genuine emotional connection, leading audiences to disengage even during hero-villain conflicts. His upcoming film, The Paradise, aims to bring back this raw emotional depth.
