Banks to be Closed for 11 Days

Bank branches across India will observe up to 11 holidays in October 2026, with closures varying by state. The Reserve Bank of India's calendar includes national and regional holidays based on local festivals. Banks will also be closed on all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Additionally, bank employees unions have announced an indefinite strike from October 26, 2026, over demands for a five-day work week. Online banking and ATM services will remain accessible during these closures.

अक्टूबर 2026 में भारत भर के बैंक शाखाओं में राज्य के अनुसार 11 दिनों तक की छुट्टियां रहेंगी। Reserve Bank of India के कैलेंडर में स्थानीय त्योहारों के आधार पर राष्ट्रीय और क्षेत्रीय छुट्टियां शामिल हैं। बैंक महीने के सभी रविवार और दूसरे व चौथे शनिवार को भी बंद रहेंगे। इसके अलावा, बैंक कर्मचारी यूनियनों ने पांच दिन के कार्य सप्ताह की मांग को लेकर 26 अक्टूबर 2026 से अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल की घोषणा की है। इन बंदों के दौरान ऑनलाइन बैंकिंग और ATM सेवाएं चालू रहेंगी।
