This latest case is believed to have been exposed to the country's first Ebola patient, who died on October 5. Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of Congo reported that the outbreak has now spread to its eighth province, Nord-Ubangi, bordering the Central African Republic. The current epidemic in Congo, caused by the rare Bundibugyo virus, has recorded over 9,400 cases and more than 4,500 deaths since May.
