An Indian-origin man in Virginia has admitted to attempting to dismember his wife's body, but claims she died by suicide. Naresh Bhatt testified that he found his wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt, unconscious after she ingested pills and insecticide. He admitted to trying to cut her body apart but stated he was unable to complete the act. Bhatt is charged with murder and concealing a dead body, having pleaded not guilty to the charges. The wife was last seen in July 2024 and her body has never been recovered.
