Congress to Protest Outside Mansa SSP Office Over Anti-Drug Activist's Killing

Punjab Congress will protest outside the Mansa SSP's office on Wednesday following the killing of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota. Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa questioned the AAP government's 'Yudh Nasheyan Virudh' campaign and demanded a fair probe and swift arrests. Bajwa cited previous cases of activists facing alleged poisonings and torture after raising drug-related concerns. He cautioned against attempts to incite religious or communal hostility, urging unity to safeguard peace and brotherhood in Punjab.

पंजाब कांग्रेस बुधवार को मनसा SSP के दफ्तर के बाहर प्रदर्शन करेगी। यह प्रदर्शन नशे के खिलाफ लड़ने वाले कार्यकर्ता परविंदर सिंह झोटा की हत्या के बाद हो रहा है। नेता प्रतिपक्ष प्रताप सिंह बाजवा ने AAP सरकार के 'युद्ध नशे विरुद्ध' अभियान पर सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने निष्पक्ष जांच और तुरंत गिरफ्तारी की मांग की। बाजवा ने पहले के ऐसे मामलों का भी जिक्र किया जहां नशे से जुड़ी चिंताएं उठाने वाले कार्यकर्ताओं को कथित तौर पर जहर दिया गया या यातनाएं दी गईं। उन्होंने धार्मिक या सांप्रदायिक नफरत फैलाने की कोशिशों के खिलाफ चेतावनी दी। उन्होंने पंजाब में शांति और भाईचारा बनाए रखने के लिए एकजुटता का आग्रह किया।
