Maharashtra to Train 75,000 School Management Committees to Boost Parent Involvement

Maharashtra's education department is launching a training program for 75,000 School Management Committees (SMCs) across the state to enhance parental involvement in school development. This initiative, part of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, aims to empower SMC members with knowledge of their roles and responsibilities in areas like infrastructure, academic quality, and student attendance. With Rs 7 crore allocated for the training, the department seeks to transform SMCs from inactive bodies into active partners.

महाराष्ट्र का शिक्षा विभाग पूरे राज्य में 75,000 स्कूल प्रबंधन समितियों (SMCs) के लिए एक ट्रेनिंग प्रोग्राम शुरू कर रहा है ताकि स्कूलों के विकास में माता-पिता की भागीदारी बढ़ाई जा सके। समग्र शिक्षा अभियान का हिस्सा यह पहल SMC सदस्यों को बुनियादी ढांचे, शैक्षणिक गुणवत्ता और छात्र उपस्थिति जैसे क्षेत्रों में उनकी भूमिकाओं और जिम्मेदारियों के बारे में ज्ञान देकर सशक्त बनाने का लक्ष्य रखती है। ट्रेनिंग के लिए 7 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं, जिससे विभाग SMCs को निष्क्रिय निकायों से सक्रिय भागीदार बनाना चाहता है।
