They would tell drivers they were first-time visitors wanting to see actors' houses, paying around ₹1,000 for the tours. Some accused also used Google to find addresses. The police have added Section 111 of the BNS related to organized crime, increasing the likelihood of invoking the MCOCA.

मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच के सूत्रों ने बताया कि टाइगर श्रॉफ फायरिंग केस के आरोपियों ने ऑटो-रिक्शा किराए पर लेकर बॉलीवुड सितारों के घरों की रेकी की थी। वे ड्राइवरों को बताते थे कि वे पहली बार आए हैं और अभिनेताओं के घर देखना चाहते हैं, जिसके लिए वे लगभग ₹1,000 का भुगतान करते थे। कुछ आरोपियों ने पते खोजने के लिए गूगल का भी इस्तेमाल किया। पुलिस ने संगठित अपराध से संबंधित BNS की धारा 111 जोड़ दी है, जिससे MCOCA लगाने की संभावना बढ़ गई है।
