Tamil Nadu police's south zone achieved convictions in 17 murder cases during September, resulting in 50 accused being found guilty and 46 receiving life sentences. This success is attributed to enhanced trial monitoring through the case officer scheme, which involves district superintendents identifying serious cases and officers tracking hearings and coordinating with prosecutors. Tuticorin district led the zone with five murder convictions, including a case where five individuals were sentenced to life for a 2019 murder. Beyond murder trials, convictions were also secured in 26 POCSO and rape cases.

तमिलनाडु पुलिस के साउथ जोन ने सितंबर महीने में 17 हत्या के मामलों में सजा दिलाई है। इसमें 50 आरोपियों को दोषी पाया गया और 46 को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई गई। यह सफलता केस ऑफिसर स्कीम के तहत ट्रायल की बेहतर निगरानी के कारण मिली है। इस स्कीम में जिला अधीक्षक गंभीर मामलों की पहचान करते हैं और अधिकारी सुनवाई पर नजर रखते हैं और अभियोजकों के साथ समन्वय करते हैं। साउथ जोन में तूतीcorin जिले ने पांच हत्या के मामलों में सजा दिलाई, जिसमें एक मामला 2019 की हत्या का था जिसमें पांच लोगों को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई गई। हत्या के मुकदमों के अलावा, 26 POCSO और बलात्कार के मामलों में भी सजा दिलाई गई।
