Kochi Water Supply Boosted By Maradu Plant

Kochi's water supply is set to increase by 20 million litres per day with upgrades at the Maradu water treatment plant. The Kerala Water Authority is enhancing the plant's capacity from 100 MLD to 120 MLD. This expansion, funded by the Asian Development Bank, will benefit Maradu municipality and surrounding areas like Kumbalam, Kumbalangi, Chellanam, and West Kochi. The project involves laying a new pipeline and upgrading filter beds to improve water.

कोच्चि को अब हर दिन 20 मिलियन लीटर ज़्यादा पानी मिलेगा। यह मराडू वॉटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट के अपग्रेड होने से होगा। केरल वॉटर अथॉरिटी प्लांट की क्षमता 100 MLD से बढ़ाकर 120 MLD कर रही है। एशियन डेवलपमेंट बैंक से मिले पैसों से यह काम हो रहा है। इससे मराडू और आसपास के इलाकों जैसे कुंबलम्, कुंबलंगी, चेलन्नम और वेस्ट कोच्चि को फायदा होगा।
