BJP Minister on Durga Puja Stampede: 'Such Accidents Happen Sometimes'

State cabinet minister Dilip Ghosh commented that such accidents can occur during large-scale religious events where millions gather. He acknowledged the unfortunate nature of the incident, attributing it to minor lapses in caution, and stressed the need for organizers to be more vigilant. Ghosh also addressed opposition accusations, stating that politics will continue while authorities are present at all venues.

कोलकाता शाम को दुर्गा पूजा पंडाल में मची भगदड़ में 19 लोगों की मौत हो गई। राज्य के कैबिनेट मंत्री दिलीप घोष ने टिप्पणी की कि लाखों लोगों के इकट्ठा होने वाले बड़े धार्मिक आयोजनों के दौरान ऐसी दुर्घटनाएं हो सकती हैं। उन्होंने घटना की दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण प्रकृति को स्वीकार किया, इसे सावधानी में मामूली चूक का नतीजा बताया, और आयोजकों से अधिक सतर्क रहने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। घोष ने विपक्षी आरोपों का भी जवाब दिया, यह कहते हुए कि जब तक अधिकारी सभी स्थानों पर मौजूद हैं, तब तक राजनीति जारी रहेगी।
