Congress Protests Dalit Suicide, Sachin Pilot Detained

Congress leaders, including Sachin Pilot, protested in Chandigarh against the Punjab government over the suicide of Dalit labourer Gulzar Singh. The protest march towards Finance Minister Harpal Cheema's house was stopped by police, leading to a confrontation where water cannons were used. Pilot and other leaders were detained and later released. Gulzar Singh died by suicide after questioning the minister about the drug menace affecting his son.

कांग्रेस का दलित आत्महत्या पर विरोध, सचिन पायलट हिरासत में

चंडीगढ़ में कांग्रेस नेताओं ने पंजाब सरकार के खिलाफ दलित मजदूर गुलजार सिंह की आत्महत्या पर प्रदर्शन किया। सचिन पायलट के नेतृत्व में यह विरोध प्रदर्शन फाइनेंस मिनिस्टर हरपाल चीमा के घर की ओर बढ़ रहा था, जिसे पुलिस ने रोक दिया। इस दौरान वाटर कैनन का इस्तेमाल हुआ। पायलट और अन्य नेताओं को हिरासत में लिया गया, जिन्हें बाद में छोड़ दिया गया। गुलजार सिंह ने मंत्री से ड्रग्स की समस्या पर सवाल किया था।
