The Election Commission (EC) is demonstrating new ERONET portal options for Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) through a video, as no written instructions have been provided yet. These new features allow EROs to dispose of notice cases without requiring hearings or documents, aiding in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The changes aim to streamline the process for EROs who had requested such functionalities. Over nine crore notices have been served in the second and third phases of the SIR drive so far.

चुनाव आयोग (EC) इलेक्टोरल रजिस्ट्रेशन ऑफिसर्स (EROs) के लिए ERONET पोर्टल के नए विकल्पों को वीडियो के ज़रिए दिखा रहा है, क्योंकि अभी तक कोई लिखित निर्देश नहीं दिए गए हैं। ये नई सुविधाएँ EROs को सुनवाई या दस्तावेज़ों की ज़रूरत के बिना नोटिस मामलों को निपटाने की अनुमति देती हैं, जिससे चुनावी रोल्स के स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) में मदद मिलती है। इन बदलावों का मकसद उन EROs के लिए प्रक्रिया को आसान बनाना है जिन्होंने ऐसी सुविधाओं का अनुरोध किया था। SIR ड्राइव के दूसरे और तीसरे चरण में अब तक नौ करोड़ से ज़्यादा नोटिस दिए जा चुके हैं।
