Karnataka Man Murders Wife Over Suspected Affair, Then Calls Her Mother

A 36-year-old man in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district allegedly murdered his wife, Padma, by slitting her throat due to a suspected extramarital affair. The accused, Chandrashekar, reportedly took his wife to a secluded farm and committed the act. He then called the victim's mother to confess his crime. Family elders had previously warned Chandrashekar about his alleged relationship with another woman, but he disregarded their advice. The couple had three children, and their frequent quarrels over the affair were known. Chandrashekar has since surrendered to the police.

कर्नाटक के चिक्काबल्लापुर जिले में 36 साल के एक आदमी ने शक के चलते अपनी पत्नी पद्मा की गला रेतकर हत्या कर दी। आरोपी चंद्रशेखर ने कथित तौर पर अपनी पत्नी को एक सुनसान फार्म पर ले जाकर इस वारदात को अंजाम दिया। इसके बाद उसने अपनी पत्नी की माँ को फोन करके अपने जुर्म को कबूल किया। परिवार के बड़े-बुजुर्गों ने पहले ही चंद्रशेखर को दूसरी महिला के साथ उसके कथित रिश्ते के बारे में चेतावनी दी थी, लेकिन उसने उनकी सलाह को नजरअंदाज कर दिया। इस जोड़े के तीन बच्चे थे और अफेयर को लेकर उनकी लगातार झगड़े होते रहते थे। चंद्रशेखर ने बाद में पुलिस के सामने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया।
