Syrian Army Weapons Depot Explodes Near Aleppo

Powerful explosions rocked a Syrian army weapons depot near Al-Eis, south of Aleppo, on Monday, injuring at least four people. Civil defence operations head Faisal Mohammad Ali confirmed four injured were evacuated, but continuing explosions hampered rescue efforts. Aleppo Governor Azzam al-Gharib urged residents to stay indoors as hospitals and emergency teams were on full alert. Roads to the site were closed for civilian safety, with officials urging the public to stay away.
