Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced that directions have been issued to arrange coal linkages, possibly from Mahanadi or Western Coalfields, for the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant. This decision follows a call from Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who highlighted disruptions in coal supplies due to reduced production at Singareni Collieries. The country is experiencing heightened pressure on thermal power due to increased electricity demand and reduced hydroelectric output.

केंद्रीय मंत्री जी. किशन रेड्डी ने घोषणा की है कि यादद्री थर्मल पावर प्लांट के लिए कोयला लिंकेज की व्यवस्था करने के निर्देश जारी किए गए हैं, संभवतः महानदी या वेस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स से। यह फैसला तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए. रेवंत रेड्डी के उस आग्रह के बाद आया है, जिसमें उन्होंने सिंगरेनी कोलियरीज में उत्पादन कम होने के कारण कोयला आपूर्ति में आ रही बाधाओं पर प्रकाश डाला था। देश में बिजली की बढ़ी हुई मांग और पनबिजली उत्पादन में कमी के कारण थर्मल पावर पर दबाव बढ़ रहा है।
