Stubble Burning Continues in Punjab, Delhi Air Quality Suffers

TV9 Hindi · environment

The practice of stubble burning persists in Punjab's fields, with TV9 Bharatvarsh cameras capturing images of flames and dense white smoke rising from farms along the Sangrur-Patiala national highway. This smoke transforms into hazardous smog during morning and evening hours, polluting the atmosphere and posing risks to public health and daily life. Despite claims of strict action against farmers by the Punjab government, the ground reality indicates the continuation of this environmental issue.
