UP Hospitals To Display Medicine Purchase, Sale Prices From Nov 1

Pharmacies in Uttar Pradesh hospitals must display the actual purchase and sale prices of medicines starting November 1. UPFSDA also mandated that retail pharmacies create public websites showing licence details, pharmacists, and stock information, updated weekly. This move aims to increase price transparency for patients, especially within hospital settings where alternatives are limited. The UPFSDA also requested the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) to investigate drug overpricing, after inspections revealed some medicines were sold at up to 67 times their procurement cost.

उत्तर प्रदेश के अस्पतालों में दवा की दुकानों को 1 नवंबर से दवाओं की खरीद और बिक्री की असल कीमतें दिखानी होंगी। यूपीएफएसडीए ने यह भी अनिवार्य किया है कि खुदरा दवा की दुकानों को लाइसेंस विवरण, फार्मासिस्ट और स्टॉक की जानकारी दिखाने वाली सार्वजनिक वेबसाइटें बनानी होंगी, जिन्हें साप्ताहिक रूप से अपडेट किया जाएगा। इस कदम का उद्देश्य मरीजों के लिए कीमतों में पारदर्शिता बढ़ाना है, खासकर अस्पताल के माहौल में जहां विकल्प सीमित हैं।
