Incessant heavy rains have triggered widespread power breakdowns across Uttar Pradesh, prompting the UPPCL to activate a 24-hour control room. Officials are directed to ensure quick restoration of electricity and maintain strict safety standards during repairs. Most faults are reportedly caused by falling trees and branches, with hundreds of feeders and substations affected. Despite the disruptions, the state has managed to maintain 24-hour power supply in urban and rural areas due to a sharp fall in demand, allowing surplus power to be sold.

लगातार हो रही भारी बारिश की वजह से पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में बिजली की आपूर्ति ठप हो गई है, जिसके चलते UPPCL ने 24 घंटे चलने वाला कंट्रोल रूम चालू कर दिया है। अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया गया है कि वे बिजली की तुरंत बहाली सुनिश्चित करें और मरम्मत के दौरान सुरक्षा के कड़े मानकों का पालन करें। ज़्यादातर खराबी पेड़ और डालियों के गिरने से बताई जा रही है, जिससे सैकड़ों फीडर और सबस्टेशन प्रभावित हुए हैं। इन दिक्कतों के बावजूद, मांग में भारी गिरावट के कारण राज्य शहरी और ग्रामीण इलाकों में 24 घंटे बिजली की आपूर्ति बनाए रखने में कामयाब रहा है, जिससे अतिरिक्त बिजली बेची जा सकी है।
