Gadvasu Students Protest New Rs 30,000 Fee, Demand Rollback

Veterinary students at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (Gadvasu) are protesting a newly introduced Rs 30,000 internship registration fee. The Veterinary Students’ Union has submitted a memorandum demanding the fee's withdrawal, arguing it negates the benefit of a recent stipend hike. Students claim the fee was not mentioned at admission and creates an unexpected financial burden. While the university states similar fees exist elsewhere and the charge is one-time, the Vice-Chancellor indicated a review of the amount is possible.

गुरु अंगद देव पशु चिकित्सा और पशु विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय (गडवासु) के पशु चिकित्सा छात्र ₹30,000 की नई इंटर्नशिप पंजीकरण फीस के खिलाफ विरोध कर रहे हैं। पशु चिकित्सा छात्र संघ ने फीस वापस लेने की मांग करते हुए एक ज्ञापन सौंपा है, उनका तर्क है कि इससे हाल ही में स्टाइपेंड में हुई बढ़ोतरी का फायदा खत्म हो जाएगा। छात्रों का दावा है कि एडमिशन के समय इस फीस का कोई जिक्र नहीं था और यह एक अप्रत्याशित वित्तीय बोझ डाल रही है। विश्वविद्यालय का कहना है कि ऐसी फीस अन्य जगहों पर भी मौजूद है और यह शुल्क एक बार का है, वहीं कुलपति ने राशि की समीक्षा की संभावना जताई है।
