Truck Driver's Family To Receive Over ₹25 Lakh Compensation After Fatal Bus Accident

MACT has ordered the UPSRTC to pay ₹25.25 lakh in compensation to the family of a truck driver who died in an accident in April 2022. The driver was repairing a puncture on his truck when a speeding bus hit him. The tribunal held the bus driver's negligence and excessive speed responsible for the fatal collision. The UPSRTC has been directed to pay the compensation amount with 7.5% annual interest, within 30 days.

MACT ने UPSRTC को आदेश दिया है कि वह अप्रैल 2022 में हुई एक दुर्घटना में मारे गए ट्रक ड्राइवर के परिवार को ₹25.25 लाख का मुआवज़ा दे। ड्राइवर अपनी ट्रक का पंचर ठीक कर रहा था जब एक तेज़ रफ़्तार बस ने उसे टक्कर मार दी। ट्रिब्यूनल ने बस ड्राइवर की लापरवाही और अत्यधिक गति को इस जानलेवा टक्कर के लिए ज़िम्मेदार ठहराया। UPSRTC को 30 दिनों के अंदर 7.5% सालाना ब्याज के साथ मुआवज़े की यह राशि देने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
