Goods producers experienced a significant year-on-year price increase of nearly 10 per cent in the first half of the current financial year 2026-27. This marks a substantial recovery from previous years, where price rises were minimal or negative during the same period. Manufacturers and mining goods producers saw double-digit price increases, indicating a shift in market dynamics. Producers received higher prices for their products compared to their input costs throughout the first half of FY27, suggesting improved profitability and market leverage.
