MK Stalin Slams Centre, TVK Govt Over Detention of SIR Protesters

DMK president M K Stalin has strongly criticized the BJP-led central government for detaining political leaders and student activists protesting against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He contrasted their detention with the Chief Election Commissioner's continued Z+ security, calling it an act of treason. Stalin also accused the Tamil Nadu government of acting as 'Delhi masters' by detaining activists protesting SIR and demanding the Election Commissioner's resignation. He demanded the immediate release of all detained individuals and accountability for those betraying the people.

डीएमके अध्यक्ष एम के स्टालिन ने चुनावी नामावलियों के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) के विरोध में प्रदर्शन कर रहे राजनीतिक नेताओं और छात्र कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लेने के लिए भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली केंद्र सरकार की कड़ी आलोचना की है। उन्होंने इसे राजद्रोह का कृत्य बताते हुए मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त की निरंतर Z+ सुरक्षा के साथ इसकी तुलना की। स्टालिन ने तमिलनाडु सरकार पर भी SIR के विरोध में प्रदर्शन कर रहे कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लेकर और चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग करके 'दिल्ली के मालिकों' की तरह काम करने का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने हिरासत में लिए गए सभी व्यक्तियों की तत्काल रिहाई और लोगों को धोखा देने वालों के लिए जवाबदेही की मांग की।
