Business Standard · stocks
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) turned net buyers in the latter half of October, injecting ₹13,112 crore into Indian equities. This followed significant outflows in the first fortnight. Inflows were concentrated in Information Technology and Telecom stocks, attracting substantial investment. However, buying remained sector-specific, with only five out of 24 sectors recording net inflows. Despite this late-month surge, FPIs remained net sellers for the entire month of October, continuing a trend from September.
