Semaglutide Shows Promise in MASH Resolution Study

A recent study published in Medicine indicates that semaglutide significantly improves metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) resolution. Patients receiving semaglutide were more than twice as likely to achieve MASH resolution compared to those on a placebo. However, the study noted that the benefits of semaglutide in improving fibrosis, a key marker of liver damage, remained limited.
