Yadgir District Bans Liquor Sale Ahead of Legislative Council Polls

Yadgir Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve has ordered a complete ban on liquor sales across the district in anticipation of the upcoming Legislative Council elections. This prohibition will be enforced from 4 p.m. on October 21 until midnight on October 23, coinciding with polling for the North-East Teachers’ Constituency. The ban, enacted under the Karnataka Excise Act and the Representation of the People Act, aims to ensure peaceful elections and prevent disturbances. All liquor establishments, including wine shops and bars, will remain closed during this period.

यादगीर जिले में विधान परिषद चुनावों से पहले शराब की बिक्री पर रोक

यादगीर के डिप्टी कमिश्नर राहुल पांडवे ने आगामी विधान परिषद चुनावों को देखते हुए पूरे जिले में शराब की बिक्री पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध का आदेश दिया है। यह प्रतिबंध 21 अक्टूबर को शाम 4 बजे से 23 अक्टूबर की मध्यरात्रि तक लागू रहेगा, जो उत्तर-पूर्व शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के मतदान के साथ मेल खाएगा। कर्नाटक आबकारी अधिनियम और जनप्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम के तहत लगाया गया यह प्रतिबंध शांतिपूर्ण चुनाव सुनिश्चित करने और व्यवधानों को रोकने के उद्देश्य से है। इस अवधि के दौरान शराब की सभी दुकानें, जिनमें वाइन शॉप और बार शामिल हैं, बंद रहेंगी।
