Centre Prioritises Farmers' Dignity And Interests, Says Union Minister Shivraj Chouhan

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chouhan stated that protecting the dignity and self-respect of farmers is a top priority for the Centre. Addressing a Kisan Chaupal in Haryana's Karnal district, he launched the 'Khet Bachao Abhiyan' to promote balanced and scientific use of fertilisers, cautioning against excessive chemical application that harms soil fertility and increases costs. Chouhan also encouraged natural farming, sharing his personal experience and advising farmers to test soil health before applying nutrients.

केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा कि किसानों की गरिमा और आत्म-सम्मान की रक्षा करना केंद्र के लिए सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है। हरियाणा के करनाल जिले में एक किसान चौपाल को संबोधित करते हुए, उन्होंने उर्वरकों के संतुलित और वैज्ञानिक उपयोग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 'खेत बचाओ अभियान' शुरू किया। उन्होंने मिट्टी की उर्वरता को नुकसान पहुंचाने और लागत बढ़ाने वाले अत्यधिक रासायनिक अनुप्रयोग के खिलाफ चेतावनी दी। चौहान ने प्राकृतिक खेती को भी प्रोत्साहित किया, अपना व्यक्तिगत अनुभव साझा किया और किसानों को पोषक तत्व लागू करने से पहले मिट्टी के स्वास्थ्य का परीक्षण करने की सलाह दी।
