The number of drought-affected taluks in Karnataka has increased to 226, with nine new areas added to the list. Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara stated that the state government is preparing a final memorandum to seek drought relief from the central government, which is expected to be ready within a week. The memorandum will detail the drought-related losses across the state, with the total estimated loss and relief amount to be determined later.

कर्नाटक में सूखा प्रभावित तालुकों की संख्या बढ़कर 226 हो गई है, जिसमें नौ नए इलाके जोड़े गए हैं। उपमुख्यमंत्री जी परमेश्वर ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार केंद्र सरकार से सूखा राहत मांगने के लिए एक अंतिम ज्ञापन तैयार कर रही है, जो एक सप्ताह के भीतर तैयार होने की उम्मीद है। ज्ञापन में राज्य भर में सूखे से संबंधित नुकसान का विवरण होगा, जिसमें कुल अनुमानित नुकसान और राहत राशि का निर्धारण बाद में किया जाएगा।
