Decomposed Body of Ex-Councillor Recovered From Uttarakhand Gorge; Two Siblings Arrested

Police in Uttarakhand's Bageshwar have arrested two siblings after recovering the decomposed body of a 35-year-old lawyer and former municipal councillor, Dhirendra Parihar, from a deep gorge. Parihar had been missing since October 17. Following a complaint by his mother, police traced his last communication to Lata Bhandari, who confessed to striking him with an iron rod after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her. She then involved her brother, Tribhuvan Singh Bisht, and together they disposed of the body. Both have been arrested on murder and conspiracy charges.

उत्तराखंड के बागेश्वर में पुलिस ने 35 वर्षीय वकील और पूर्व नगर पार्षद, धीरेंद्र परिहार के सड़े-गले शव को एक गहरी खाई से बरामद करने के बाद दो भाई-बहनों को गिरफ्तार किया है। परिहार 17 अक्टूबर से लापता थे। उनकी मां की शिकायत के बाद, पुलिस ने उनकी आखिरी बातचीत का पता लता भंडारी तक लगाया, जिन्होंने स्वीकार किया कि उन्होंने परिहार को लोहे की छड़ से मारा था, जब उन्होंने कथित तौर पर उनके साथ यौन उत्पीड़न करने की कोशिश की थी। फिर उन्होंने अपने भाई, त्रिभुवन सिंह बिष्ट को शामिल किया और दोनों ने मिलकर शव को ठिकाने लगा दिया। दोनों को हत्या और साजिश के आरोपों में गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
