Kangra Monsoon Losses Exceed Rs 340 Crore

Kangra district has reported monsoon-induced losses exceeding Rs 340 crore, with Rs 269.8 crore impacting roads and Rs 64.1 crore affecting drinking water schemes. An inter-ministerial central team was informed of these damages, which also included losses to irrigation, power infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, and horticulture sectors. The district administration highlighted that 15 lives and 76 livestock were lost due to rain-related incidents. Officials also requested a revision of financial assistance norms for natural disaster victims.

कांगड़ा जिले में मानसून से 340 करोड़ रुपये से ज़्यादा का नुकसान हुआ है, जिसमें 269.8 करोड़ रुपये सड़कों को और 64.1 करोड़ रुपये पीने के पानी की योजनाओं को प्रभावित हुए हैं। एक अंतर-मंत्रालयी केंद्रीय टीम को इन नुकसानों के बारे में सूचित किया गया, जिसमें सिंचाई, बिजली के बुनियादी ढांचे, कृषि, स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा और बागवानी क्षेत्रों को हुए नुकसान भी शामिल थे। जिला प्रशासन ने बताया कि बारिश से संबंधित घटनाओं में 15 लोगों की जान गई और 76 मवेशी मारे गए। अधिकारियों ने प्राकृतिक आपदा पीड़ितों के लिए वित्तीय सहायता मानदंडों में संशोधन का भी अनुरोध किया।
