Centre Plans Overhaul of MMDR Act, New Mining Law to Be Drafted

भारत सरकार माइंस एंड मिनरल्स (डेवलपमेंट एंड रेगुलेशन) एक्ट, 1957 में बड़े बदलाव की योजना बना रही है, ताकि एक नया और व्यापक खनन कानून बनाया जा सके। इस पहल का मकसद सेक्टर में ईज ऑफ लिविंग और ईज ऑफ डूइंग बिजनेस सुधारों को शामिल करना है। एक अंतर-मंत्रालयी पैनल मौजूदा एक्ट की समीक्षा करेगा और अंतरराष्ट्रीय सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं को शामिल करते हुए नए बिल का मसौदा तैयार करेगा। इसका लक्ष्य भाषा को सरल बनाना, प्रावधानों को वर्तमान आवश्यकताओं के अनुरूप बनाना और खनन नियमों में स्पष्टता और दक्षता बढ़ाना है।
