Construction of the main mansion began in 1914, resulting in a 31,770-square-foot residence with 56 rooms. The estate also included a powerhouse, laboratory, and meticulously designed gardens. After Henry Ford's death in 1947 and Clara's in 1950, the property transitioned into a historic landmark.
