India Backs UN Multilateralism Summit, Seeks Reform

India has co-sponsored the inaugural UN multilateralism summit, with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stating the global order is under stress. He co-chaired the 'Partners for Multilateralism' Summit alongside Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, and Kenya. Jaishankar emphasized the need for more participative deliberations and transparent decision-making in international forums. He highlighted that issues like the fuel, food, fertilizer, and finance crisis require collective action.

भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र के पहले बहुपक्षवाद शिखर सम्मेलन में सह-प्रायोजन किया है। विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने कहा कि वैश्विक व्यवस्था पर दबाव है। उन्होंने ऑस्ट्रेलिया, बारबाडोस, ब्राजील, कनाडा और केन्या के साथ मिलकर 'पार्टनर्स फॉर मल्टीलैटरलिज्म' शिखर सम्मेलन की सह-अध्यक्षता की। जयशंकर ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर अधिक भागीदारीपूर्ण चर्चाओं और पारदर्शी निर्णय लेने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि ईंधन, भोजन, उर्वरक और वित्त संकट जैसी समस्याओं के लिए सामूहिक कार्रवाई की जरूरत है।
