Congress: GST Cuts Offset by Galloping Inflation

The Congress party stated that the benefits of GST rate cuts on various commodities are being negated by significant inflation. Jairam Ramesh highlighted that prices of several consumer products have reverted to pre-cut levels within a year. He noted that while GST rationalisation was overdue, its impact on consumption has been mixed, with some sectors like automobiles benefiting while others, like apparel, did not.

कांग्रेस पार्टी ने कहा है कि कई चीज़ों पर GST दरें कम करने का फायदा महंगाई की वजह से खत्म हो रहा है। Jairam Ramesh ने बताया कि एक साल में ही कई ज़रूरी सामानों के दाम पहले जैसे हो गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि GST में बदलाव ज़रूरी था, लेकिन इसका असर मिला-जुला रहा है। कुछ सेक्टर जैसे ऑटोमोबाइल को फायदा हुआ, लेकिन कपड़ों जैसे सेक्टर को नहीं।
