UP Police Suspends Cops Over Midnight Shop Demolitions

In Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, SP Prachi Singh has suspended an inspector, a sub-inspector, and two constables from Akbarpur Kotwali. This action follows allegations that unidentified individuals, using three bulldozers, demolished over half a dozen shops late at night. These shops were the sole source of livelihood for more than a dozen families for two decades. The police faced criticism for alleged negligence after locals filed complaints.
