MMC in Hyderabad is now holding pet owners responsible for cleaning up their dogs' waste in public spaces. This initiative aims to address hygiene concerns and inconvenience caused by uncleaned pet waste in areas like roads, footpaths, and parks. The MMC will initially focus on awareness campaigns, but plans to impose fines on non-compliant owners if the problem persists. This move follows similar practices in cities like Singapore and Madrid and aims to enforce responsible pet ownership.

हैदराबाद में MMC अब पालतू जानवरों के मालिकों को सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर अपने कुत्तों के मल को साफ करने के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहरा रहा है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य सड़कों, फुटपाथों और पार्कों जैसे क्षेत्रों में बिना साफ किए गए पालतू जानवरों के मल से होने वाली स्वच्छता संबंधी चिंताओं और असुविधा को दूर करना है। MMC शुरू में जागरूकता अभियानों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा, लेकिन यदि समस्या बनी रहती है तो गैर-अनुपालन करने वाले मालिकों पर जुर्माना लगाने की योजना है। यह कदम सिंगापुर और मैड्रिड जैसे शहरों में इसी तरह की प्रथाओं के बाद उठाया गया है और इसका उद्देश्य जिम्मेदार पालतू पशु स्वामित्व को लागू करना है।
