This directive comes in response to the prevailing drought conditions across the state, which has led the government to halt loan repayments for farmers. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule emphasized that strict action will be taken against those harassing farmers, urging victims to report such incidents to the police or district administration. The opposition has called for a complete loan waiver instead of a repayment stay.
