Sourabh Chandrakar, the alleged kingpin of the ₹6,000-crore Mahadev online betting app scam, has been remanded to eight days' custody by a Special CBI court in Raipur. This development follows his recent extradition from Oman. The court has permitted the CBI to take Chandrakar to Delhi for interrogation, a move supported by both the prosecution and defence due to security concerns and extradition treaty considerations. The CBI sought custody to question him regarding the massive scam.

₹6,000 करोड़ के महादेव ऑनलाइन सट्टेबाजी ऐप घोटाले का कथित सरगना सौरभ चंद्राकर को रायपुर की एक विशेष सीबीआई अदालत ने आठ दिन की हिरासत में भेज दिया है। यह कदम ओमान से उसके हालिया प्रत्यर्पण के बाद उठाया गया है। अदालत ने सीबीआई को सुरक्षा चिंताओं और प्रत्यर्पण संधि के विचारों के कारण दिल्ली ले जाकर पूछताछ करने की अनुमति दी है, जिसका अभियोजन और बचाव पक्ष दोनों ने समर्थन किया है। सीबीआई ने इस बड़े घोटाले के संबंध में उससे पूछताछ के लिए हिरासत मांगी थी।
