Former Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao has written to the Union Home Ministry requesting an investigation into YouTuber Dhruv Rathee's citizenship and visa compliance. Rao cited Rathee's attendance at an anti-SIR protest in Bengaluru on October 8, where he allegedly criticized the Election Commission. Rao, who is a BJP politician, asked the ministry to verify Rathee's German citizenship, entry details, and whether his participation in the protest violated Indian immigration laws.
