Jamtara Police Arrest Three Cyber Fraudsters, Seize Over Rs 8 Lakh

Jamtara police have arrested three individuals involved in cyber fraud and seized Rs 8.13 lakh, along with eight mobile phones and six SIM cards. The accused targeted victims by sending fake APK files for credit card solutions and offering fake cashback messages. Once installed, the malicious app allowed them to access sensitive phone data and commit financial fraud. Two of the arrested individuals are repeat offenders in cybercrime cases. Investigations are ongoing, with cases registered under the BNS, IT Act, and Telecommunications Act.

जामताड़ा पुलिस ने साइबर धोखाधड़ी में शामिल तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है और 8.13 लाख रुपये, आठ मोबाइल फोन और छह सिम कार्ड ज़ब्त किए हैं। आरोपियों ने क्रेडिट कार्ड समाधान के लिए नकली एपीके फाइलें भेजकर और नकली कैशबैक संदेशों की पेशकश करके पीड़ितों को निशाना बनाया। एक बार इंस्टॉल हो जाने के बाद, दुर्भावनापूर्ण ऐप ने उन्हें संवेदनशील फोन डेटा तक पहुंचने और वित्तीय धोखाधड़ी करने की अनुमति दी। गिरफ्तार किए गए दो व्यक्ति साइबर अपराध के मामलों में बार-बार अपराध करने वाले हैं। बीएनएस, आईटी एक्ट और दूरसंचार अधिनियम के तहत मामले दर्ज होने के साथ जांच जारी है।
