Woman Allegedly Murdered Over Dowry and Forced Religious Conversion

A 25-year-old woman, Ankita, was allegedly murdered by her husband, Mohd Arzoo, and his family in Begusarai, Bihar. Her mother, Draupadi Devi, filed a complaint accusing them of strangling Ankita and staging her death as suicide. The complaint also alleges pressure on Ankita to convert to Islam and harassment after the birth of their daughter. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused family members. The investigation into the allegations is ongoing.

बिहार के बेगूसराय में 25 साल की अंकिता की कथित तौर पर उसके पति, मोहम्मद अर्ज़ू और उसके परिवार ने हत्या कर दी। उसकी माँ, द्रौपदी देवी ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई है जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया है कि उन्होंने अंकिता का गला घोंट दिया और उसकी मौत को आत्महत्या का रूप देने की कोशिश की। शिकायत में यह भी आरोप है कि अंकिता पर इस्लाम कबूल करने का दबाव डाला गया और उनकी बेटी के जन्म के बाद उसे परेशान किया गया। पुलिस आरोपी परिवार के सदस्यों को पकड़ने के लिए छापेमारी कर रही है। आरोपों की जांच जारी है।
