The Forest Department in Chandrapur has constructed a large, walk-in enclosure in the Samda forest to capture tiger T-122, suspected of killing three people and injuring another in two months. This unconventional method aims to lure the elusive animal without detecting human presence, after conventional traps failed. The operation, which began, uses solar-powered CCTV and trap cameras, with 60 personnel on watch. This experimental initiative in Maharashtra seeks to safely contain the powerful and wary tiger, while surveillance and awareness campaigns continue in villages to prevent further encounters.
