India Today · world
Spanish authorities have cleared the last major migrant encampment in Ceuta, two days before King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia's visit. The camp formed after over 70,000 people entered the Spanish territory from Morocco on July 30-31. While many returned, thousands remained, sleeping in makeshift shelters. Police and soldiers removed migrants to reception centers, with some fleeing into nearby hills. This royal visit to the North African enclave, claimed by Morocco, is the first by a Spanish monarch since 2007.
