Kodagu Congress Minority Leaders Oppose Draft Reservation List

Leaders from the Kodagu district Congress minority community have voiced strong opposition to the draft reservation list for upcoming zilla and taluk panchayat elections, alleging injustice towards the Muslim community. They claim the community has been sidelined despite a significant minority voter base in the district's constituencies. The leaders plan to submit written objections to the State Election Commission and are demanding that the Kodagu District Congress unit allocate tickets to minority candidates for at least five to six Zilla Panchayat seats.

कोडगू जिले के कांग्रेस अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय के नेताओं ने आगामी जिला और तालुका पंचायत चुनावों के लिए ड्राफ्ट आरक्षण सूची का कड़ा विरोध किया है। उन्होंने मुस्लिम समुदाय के साथ नाइंसाफी का आरोप लगाया है। उनका कहना है कि जिले के निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में अल्पसंख्यक मतदाताओं की अच्छी खासी संख्या होने के बावजूद समुदाय को दरकिनार कर दिया गया है। नेताओं की योजना है कि वे राज्य चुनाव आयोग को लिखित आपत्तियां सौंपेंगे और कोडगू जिला कांग्रेस इकाई से कम से कम पांच से छह जिला पंचायत सीटों पर अल्पसंख्यक उम्मीदवारों को टिकट आवंटित करने की मांग कर रहे हैं।
