The agreement, part of the state's Rural and Family Lands Protection Program, allows the multigenerational family ranch to continue its cattle, hay, and timber operations. This preservation effort ensures the land remains a working agricultural property while safeguarding its significant wetlands, native habitats, and wildlife corridors. The Hendrie family has managed the ranch for over 65 years, supporting beef production and scientific research on the property.
