MPSC Panel Recommends Over 16,000 Group C Posts, One-Year Age Relaxation

A high-level committee appointed by the Maharashtra government has recommended increasing vacancies for the MPSC Group-C Combined Preliminary Examination to over 16,000. The committee also proposed a one-time, special relaxation of one year in the upper age limit for all recruitment examinations. Around 12 lakh candidates have applied for the Group C examination, with advertisements currently issued for over 5,000 vacancies. The committee's interim report aims to address concerns raised by aspirants and improve the recruitment process.

महाराष्ट्र सरकार द्वारा नियुक्त एक उच्च-स्तरीय समिति ने MPSC ग्रुप-सी संयुक्त प्रारंभिक परीक्षा के लिए रिक्तियों को 16,000 से ज़्यादा तक बढ़ाने की सिफ़ारिश की है। समिति ने सभी भर्ती परीक्षाओं के लिए ऊपरी आयु सीमा में एक साल की एक-बार की विशेष छूट का भी प्रस्ताव दिया है। ग्रुप सी परीक्षा के लिए लगभग 12 लाख उम्मीदवारों ने आवेदन किया है, जिसमें वर्तमान में 5,000 से ज़्यादा रिक्तियों के लिए विज्ञापन जारी किए गए हैं। समिति की अंतरिम रिपोर्ट का उद्देश्य उम्मीदवारों द्वारा उठाई गई चिंताओं को दूर करना और भर्ती प्रक्रिया में सुधार करना है।
