Chennai Pharma Distributor Arrested in Karnataka Counterfeit Drug Case

Karnataka police have arrested a Chennai-based pharmaceutical distributor, Balasubramanian, in connection with an interstate counterfeit drug racket. He is the seventh person taken into custody and was a partner in DM Pharma, a company allegedly used to distribute fake medicines. Investigators suspect Balasubramanian received counterfeit consignments from the racket's alleged kingpin, Prashanth Rajanbabu, and distributed them in Chennai and other areas. The SIT is examining DM Pharma's role and Balasubramanian's other companies in the distribution chain.

कर्नाटक पुलिस ने एक अंतरराज्यीय नकली दवा रैकेट के सिलसिले में चेन्नई के फार्मास्युटिकल डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर, बालासुब्रमण्यन को गिरफ्तार किया है। वह हिरासत में लिया गया सातवां व्यक्ति है और डीएम फार्मा में पार्टनर था, जिस पर नकली दवाएं बांटने का आरोप है। जांचकर्ताओं को शक है कि बालासुब्रमण्यन ने रैकेट के कथित सरगना, प्रशांत राजनबाबू से नकली दवाएं प्राप्त कीं और उन्हें चेन्नई व अन्य इलाकों में बांटा। एसआईटी डीएम फार्मा की भूमिका और वितरण श्रृंखला में बालासुब्रमण्यन की अन्य कंपनियों की जांच कर रही है।
