Food Authority Bans Plastic Pan Masala Packaging

India's food safety authority has banned plastic packaging for pan masala. Manufacturers must now use only tin or glass containers. The ban prohibits the use of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, PVC, synthetic polymers, copolymers, or laminates in packaging. This move aims to reduce plastic pollution and promote more sustainable packaging alternatives for consumer products, impacting the production and distribution of pan masala across the country.

खाद्य प्राधिकरण ने प्लास्टिक पान मसाला पैकेजिंग पर प्रतिबंध लगाया

भारत की खाद्य सुरक्षा संस्था ने पान मसाले की प्लास्टिक पैकेजिंग पर रोक लगा दी है। अब निर्माता केवल टिन या कांच के डिब्बे ही इस्तेमाल कर सकेंगे। इस पाबंदी में पैकेजिंग के लिए पॉलीथीन, पॉलीप्रोपाइलीन, पॉलिएस्टर, पीवीसी, सिंथेटिक पॉलीमर, कोपॉलीमर या लैमिनेट का इस्तेमाल मना है। इसका मकसद प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण कम करना और उपभोक्ता उत्पादों के लिए टिकाऊ पैकेजिंग को बढ़ावा देना है।
