Ladakh has achieved a significant milestone in commercial floriculture with the dispatch of its first air consignment of locally grown lilium flowers. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena flagged off the initial shipment of 15,000 "A-grade" stems from Leh airport to Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. Cultivated at 10,600 feet, these flowers represent a sustainable, high-value livelihood stream for the region. The initiative aims to boost the socio-economic status of local communities and reshape Ladakh's visual landscape.

लद्दाख ने स्थानीय स्तर पर उगाए गए लिली फूलों की पहली हवाई खेप भेजकर वाणिज्यिक फ्लोरीकल्चर में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हासिल की है। लेफ्टिनेंट गवर्नर विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने लेह हवाई अड्डे से दिल्ली, मुंबई और चंडीगढ़ के लिए 15,000 "ए-ग्रेड" डंठलों की शुरुआती खेप को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। 10,600 फीट की ऊंचाई पर उगाए गए ये फूल इस क्षेत्र के लिए एक टिकाऊ, उच्च-मूल्य वाली आजीविका का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य स्थानीय समुदायों की सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति को बढ़ावा देना और लद्दाख के दृश्य परिदृश्य को नया आकार देना है।
